Keeping Children Safe

KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY!

If you have a concern about a child or family in our setting, please speak to the designated safeguarding lead.

What is a DSL?

A Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is vital in organisations that work with children and vulnerable individuals. This person oversees safeguarding policies to protect against harm, abuse, or neglect. The DSL is the main contact for safeguarding concerns and ensures they are reported and addressed properly. They support staff by promoting awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and often provide training to foster a safe environment. Additionally, the DSL collaborates with external agencies like social services or the police to ensure an effective response to safeguarding issues.

Our designated safeguarding lead is:

Zoey Smith - z.smith@teddy-bears-sheppey.org.uk

Our deputy safeguarding leads are:

Holli Godden - h.godden@teddy-bears-sheppey.org.uk

Emma Regan - e.regan@teddy-bears-sheppey.org.uk

Claire Homewood - c.homewood@teddy-bears-sheppey.org.uk

You can email, call or ask for us at any point.
